The Transmigration of Timothy Archer

This adaptation of Philip K. Dick's last novel 'The Transmigration of Timothy Archer' follows a controversial bishop's ups and downs in San Francisco during the 1960's. Inspired by the real life events from Bishop James Pike's seminal novel 'The Other Side', the film is a mixture of a dark comedic parable and a chilling ghost story. It is both an investigation on the paradoxes of belief and of life after death.

Plot Outline

The final novel by Philip K. Dick is an investigation of the paradoxes of belief. It is the story of Timothy Archer, perhaps the most controversial bishop that ever lived. He walked with Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy. His affairs with the female movement organization involved sleeping with the founder. And his belief in Christ is about to be challenged by the Dead Sea Scrolls as well as the suicide and ghostly reappearance of his son.
